DAY1: FULL DAY EXPLORING TANGIER

Depart from Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangier (It takes around 45 minutes) and meet with your English-speaking tour guide with whom you will spend the day exploring what Tangier has to offer. Have a nice drive around the Ville Nouvelle (New Town) that was initially built by the international powers when Tangier was under the collective administration of several countries during the early to the mid-20th century. Tangier was a Mecca for artists, writers, businessmen, and even politicians from the 1940th to 1960th.

Drive through Mohamed V Avenue from where you will get an insight into the local lifestyle as well as the different styles of architecture. Enjoy the nice view of the Cape Spartel where it is believed the Atlantic Ocean converges with the Mediterranean Sea at this point. You may want to have some time for refreshment in a local café and then continue on the track along the Atlantic Coastline where we will experience the camel ride by the sandy beach. Visit the Hercules Caves that go back to the Neolithic Times.

Wander the perched Kasbah (fortress) that was built in the 15th century with its amazing views of the Medina (Old Town), Gibraltar, and the Mediterranean. Visit the Kasbah Museum of Moroccan Art which was formerly the Sultan’s Palace. Stroll through the intricate alleyways of the vibrant Medina and visit the Souks which are divided into different sections based on specialties including fish, vegetables, spices, crafts…etc.

Enjoy a nice mint tea at the Petit Socco Square while watching the passers-by as the American writer Paul Bowles and Henri Matisse used to do. After that, your tour guide will escort you to your Riad in the Kasbah.

  • Overnight accommodation in Riad LaTangerina or similar – Bed & Breakfast Option.

DAY2: TANGIER – ASILAH – CHEFCHAOUEN

After having breakfast in your Hotel/Riad, we will head to Asilah along the Atlantic Coastline and will include a nice walking tour around this serene and tranquil gem of a town. The first eye-catching attraction is the paintings that fill the whitewashed walls of the Medina to the extent that it is easy to spend hours meandering around these narrow but beautiful streets while admiring each piece of work. The views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Ramparts, which were built in the 15th century by the Portuguese present a nice historical character to this charming town, and are spectacular.

After lunch, we will continue on the track through the Rif Mountains to the beautiful blue town of Chefchaouen. Escort to your Riad and after that, you may want to opt for stretching your legs while enjoying the shady blue painted streets before culminating the whole day with a fresh mint tea at one of the local cafes by the Square while watching the passers-by.

  • Overnight accommodation in Dar Echchaouen or similar – Bed & Breakfast option.

DAY3: HALF DAY EXPLORING CHEFCHAOUEN – TANGIER

After having breakfast in your Riad, you will spend the first half-day exploring this amazing town with a professional local tour guide. You will learn that Chefchaouen was established in 1471 by the Jewish and Moorish refugees after being expelled from Andalusia. Visit the Kasbah that is located at the heart of the old town, then stretch your legs along the blue-painted alleys before reaching Ras Elma spring where you will be collected by your private driver back to Tangier. We will drop you off wherever is convenient for you, either at the port, or hotel…

"Amazing Experience With Tangier Excursions!"

I had an amazing time in Morocco, and Moha played a huge part in this. Moha exceeded our expectations as a tour guide for us. Not only was he organized and very detailed with helping us plan our trip before we arrived, he was also very knowledgable about the history of Morocco, and at the same time, a very kind, genuine and fun person to be around! I highly recommend Moha to anyone who is looking for not only a guide, but also a friend to explore with.
