review for Tangier Excursions

"Wonderful Tour Experience"

Our thanks to Tangier Excursions for incorporating all of our needs into a custom tour experience. We first required safe and reliable transportation from Chefchouen to the Tangier region. Our package was arranged to travel through Tetouan, a city I would not have expected to be so lovely, through to Tangier. The driver kept us interested with personal conversation about our shared tastes in music and anecdotes about his education and upbringing in the Sahara. We met our tour guide Moha in Tetouan and shared a narrative tour to Tangier and our riad. At this point in our travels we were quite exhausted and had been to the medinas in Fes And Rabat on our own and were looking for something different. Moha showed us wonderful places in Tangier- of note were the "must-see" Caves of Hercules and the Cape Spartel, at the Straits of Gibraltar. But he also helped us complete our personal "bucket lists" of our trip- he took us to a place where we could finish our souvenir shopping, he led us to a special place where my friend could order a custom woodwork screen, he kindly brought us each a fresh package of ras el hanoute and saffron- some things I did not bring home on my last trip to Morocco! The next day we met again and travelled to the beachside town of Asilah. On the way Moha arranged a short ride on a camel which I had promised my friend for her birthday! Asilah was a lovely village and should not be missed- Moha clearly loves his country and enjoys meeting people to share it with! Thanks to Tangier Excursions!
